Education and career come first
Among US Asian newlyweds, those with some college experience have historically shown the highest intermarriage rate of any education group - 39% in 2015, ahead of both high-school-only and bachelor’s-degree-plus groups. That pattern suggests education alone does not predict openness to a cross-cultural relationship, and it lines up with what we see here: many women in Taiwan who join are university-educated professionals looking for a partner who takes commitment seriously, not a stereotype to fulfill.
